What is Tiny Kits?

Tiny Kits Rescue was founded in 2021 when Jenny, preparing to foster kittens from a large animal welfare organization, had an unexpected encounter. A tradesperson approached the door holding a tiny bundle—three kittens, just 2 days old. Jenny knew that without their mother, the kittens’ chances of survival in a large welfare organization were slim. She immediately offered to take them in, leaving with much more than she had anticipated.

The three kittens spent a few days with Jenny before staying with Des for a few weeks. When they returned, their plump little bodies and sweet personalities inspired the birth of Tiny Kits Rescue. With love, care, and dedication, Sparky, Chippy, and Tiler all thrived and eventually found their forever homes. This heartwarming experience laid the foundation for a rescue focused specifically on caring for orphaned and unweaned kittens in Victoria.

In 2023, Tiny Kits Rescue became an incorporated association under the legal name Tiny Kits Rescue Incorporated. A dedicated committee of five members now oversees governance, operations, and fundraising efforts, all while sharing a passion for supporting the kittens.

The rescue achieved charity status with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission in 2023 and became a deductible gift recipient (DGR) in 2024. Every dollar donated goes directly toward kitten care, covering food, health treatments, desexing, microchipping, and vaccinations.

Though we may be small, Tiny Kits Rescue makes a BIG impact!
